My latest project, my Master's thesis, is about an interdisciplinary development project for 3D-printed arm prosthesis fittings in combination with highly functional fabrics. The project is supervised by the pd|z and will be carried out in collaboration with a professor at Hirslanden. Additionally, it aims to identify further industry partners for collaboration.
The overarching goal of the project is to decrease the negative impacts of sweat, such as the loosening of the prosthesis. Highly functional technical textiles for sports applications present a promising avenue to improve fit in relevant scenarios. Within this project, I will go through the product-development cycle with a strong emphasis on rapid prototyping and testing to assess the feasibility of potential solutions. To inform potential solutions, I will strive to gather and incorporate input from the industry by establishing working relationships with relevant parties in companies such as Adidas and On.
Since it is an ongoing project and due to a non-disclosure agreement, I cannot give any more details about the project. As soon as it is possible to publish any results, you will find them here.
